Vegas Warhammer 40k League

Warhammer 40k League in Vegas:

I moved to Vegas from Southern California last year and it’s been a big adjustment, as far as 40k gaming goes. One of the biggest differences is that GW supported everything in So. Cal., from clubs, to independent stores, to events, etc. I love 40k, it’s definitely something that I enjoy talking, reading, and learning about it; with that being said, I would like to start a new league. This is not only a league for Vets, but it’s also a league for beginners. The league would include players that are competitive, players that are just looking to have fun, and players that would simply like to get in a game here or there; either way, players will have fun and have a chance to meet some cool people.

This is going to be a full city wide campaign/league. Basically all games can be played anywhere that you and your opponent decide, i.e. your house or preferred home store. It will consist of ten (10) games that will be through a time frame of 20 weeks, not including playoffs. I realize that 20 weeks appears to be a long time, but in actuality it accommodates those that have odd schedules, by allowing them to schedule a game with a little more of a grace period. The rules and schedule will be located in the Forum. (They are based off of the SCGWL with some alterations. This is still subject to change).
Fee: $25 (includes prizes)
Draft date: May 30, 2009. Draft located at my club house including BBQ and some tables for open gaming. Directions will be provided in coming weeks.
Start date: June 6, 2000 through Oct.24, 2009 (for regular season).
All rules and scheduling will be located in the 40K forum discussion on Vegas gamers website.

Yes damn it you can...lol this is the last time I say it and then you get to give me Monpoc stuff. Also lets start posting things in the 40k section. The results for week one are up. Ray

"Alright I have had a few questions come up and I just wanted to address them for everyone. First is list info if you have not submitted HQ, Troop choices, and full wargear for each please do so by the end of this week. Also there has been some confusion because of the IG and Ork codex's there are special character entries that are for HQ, fast attack, etc. I have come to the conclusion of allowing more then one special character but those characters if listed have to be played every game. I still have not received all of this info so please get this stuff to me asap. If you have any questions about this give me a call or send me an email

So basically you must list one HQ choice and 2 Troop choices including weapons and wargear as well as any special characters you will be using throughout the league they must be played as listed every game.

You can have as many as you want, but they have to be played in Every game, along with the HQ and 2 troops that you listed as your core. Correct me if I'm wrong ppl.

You play the people in your division twice and your other 4 games are against 4 people from other divisions.
