MMO's - Vegas Groups
Hi all -
I've been playing City of Heroes for a few years now. I've tried EVE a couple times with their 14-day trials, hated World of Warcraft, and thought Star Wars was OK before they "fixed" it. I played D&D Online for the first month as part of owning the game and thought I'd wasted my money. Felt the same way with Tabula Rasa. I bought Mass Effect for the PC and can't play it because I have a laptop with an ATI X700 256mb, and the game doesn't support backwards compatibility. Wish I could take it back, since I lost my $50 on that purchase.
So I feel I've wasted a ton of money that I don't really have buying MMO's/games that I'm not playing. I'm wondering if anybody is interested in any of those. Or if any Vegas people here are playing them.
I've considered trying Warhammer Online - even though I hate the miniature game and their roleplaying system but I'd like to hear what other people are saying about it. Moreso, CoH keeps telling me that I need to upgrade my video card, but my laptop company doesn't upgrade it, so I worry that I wouldn't even be able to play WAR. Anybody know different? Anybody playing yet and what are your experiences?

From what I've heard Warhammer Online has REALLY high video and processor demands.

My brother and I are jumping into WarHammer Online (WHO). He is already playing and I need to rebuild my machine to do so. In any case, we should create a guild of local players!
BTW, I might be interested in taking Mass Effect off of your hands! Let me think about it.

From what I've heard, Mr. Shields is right about it being really high video (Definitly not to be used on a lap top). I also heard some very bad things about WHO. I saw some videos of it and people say it is way better then WoW (World of Warcraft). But from what i've seen, it is exactly the same. I still play WoW and I think that it wont be beat by any MMO for another 3 years atleast. I play MMO's a lot and I am not really impressed at all. I will probably give it a try at somepoint.
Also, if anyone wants to hook up sometime in WoW, look me up on Deathwing. Horde side. Character name 'Alinoes'

I've finally started reading the Pathfinder books i purchased a year ago.. i'm totally interested!
I've been itching to get back to the gaming table... I LOVED Living Greyhawk and when that ended I tried a couple of "home games" here in Vegas for a few months... then I deployed. I'm back and am jonesing for more games!
Has anything come of this…
Vegas' home for the Paizo's Pathfinder RPG and the Pathfinder Society (organized play).
