Anything going on with this. I love Battletech!

Has anyone checked out MegaMech? It's a freeware program that lets you play Battletech on your computer against other players or the AI, which leaves a bit to be desired. The maps, rules and mechs are all the same and there are even second party programs that let you design your own mechs. Can you tell I like Battletech?

oh this is new. This group must have started while I was away in the sandbox. I know you guys played at Vern's while I was gone but since I have returned it has been all 40k for most peeps hopefully we will be able to get a game or two in sometime. I have plenty of mechs both IS and Clan. I have a few vehicles as well. So if some wish to watch or play and dont have anything I can provide some.

CBT at Vern's house this Saturday!

I was planning on going to San Diego this week, but then I checked the weather - whaddya know, it's cold! Anyhow, that means Saturday I'll head over to Vern's to get my gaming fix and I'll be bringing my introductory BT box set.

Interested in playing? Just get a force together using the following guidelines, and be ready to rumble:

1) Max weight 250 tons.
2) Must contain 4 mechs.
3) NO assault mechs - light, medium, and heavy only.
4) Inner Sphere "3025" tech - no double heat sinks, ER PPC's or any of that fancy 2750 / 3050+ business.
5) Book Designs only - it should appear in a tech manual. Yes, we know that if you load ten thousand LRM-5's on a medium mech chassis you'll have a head hit every time. You will also be a douche since the point of this game is to help everyone remember / learn how to play. (note that you could bring an "unseen" design from the first 3025 manual, eg the marauder or warhammer).

See you Saturday! I aim to be there around 3 or 4, but feel free to start without me - I'm just announcing my intent to play, not run the whole show.

I'm down Tiger and I was thinking the same about 3025 Tech Readout too. I'll bring down everything I have and we should be able to get some good games in.

It looks like I'm out of circulation for 2 weeks, but who wants to battle the weekend of the 27th? 250 tons, full lance, no assault mechs, and "standard" 3025 tech sound good?
