I'll be checking it out as well. I played a few demo games at the Privateer Press demo booth at Comic Con in San Diego. It's pretty simple, and fairly entertaining.
I am definitely going to be getting the starter and some boosters so that I can try it out. Hey, it's giant monsters. Can't go wrong with that, right? : )
What'd you guys think? Do you do the demo run-through? It was a little more involved than I expected, and actually a little cooler as well. Now, I'm on the lookout for G.U.A.R.D. units, and the Lords of Cthul pieces. :D
I just picked up a couple boosters today, figured I'd start getting into a new miniatures game. And considering I'm not much of a painter, I'm glad it's all prefab XD
Apparently no one in town has starters, so I guess it's online shopping for those. Anyplace ya'll play regularly? Again, I'm new to the game, and kinda to miniatures gaming in general, but am rather enthusiastic.
I saw some starters over at Action Comics, on Boulder Highway, in Henderson. We usually play at Little Shop of Magic, as the owner runs prized tournaments twice a month. You've got to pre-register at www.privateerevents.com for them, but that's easy enough. :)
So I've discovered that, "Hey baby, wanna come over to my place and play some strip-Monsterpocalypse?", doesn't actually work that well at some places in this town. Who'd have thought? :P
Well, thanks to the magic of Christmas money, I have finally gotten off my lazy bum and placed a big singles order and have pieced together both a GUARD and Shadow Sun Syndicate army, so I'll have to finally make my way out to a game with ya'll. The stuff should be in on Thursday or so, look forward to breaking everything in =)
I've been itching to get back to the gaming table... I LOVED Living Greyhawk and when that ended I tried a couple of "home games" here in Vegas for a few months... then I deployed. I'm back and am jonesing for more games!
Has anything come of this…
